    About Me

Daniel Voorhees grew up boating with his family on the Great Lakes. Daniel prefers sailing when he’s on a sailboat and prefers motor yachts when he’s on a motor yacht, but in any event, he is happiest with the wind in his thinning gray hair.

After becoming an empty-nester in 2008, he sold his yacht brokerage business in Seattle and went out to see the world, living in eight countries and traveling dozens more over the next 13 years.

His clients and customers span the globe, so he splits his time between Europe, Florida and Asia. Daniel has logged thousands of miles and has sold dozens of yachts in the US, UK, Mexico, the Caribbean, SE Asia and Europe. His extensive yacht sales and consulting experience spans more than 20 years. He has built expertise in sailboats, motor yachts and expedition superyachts, but his primary focus is customer satisfaction.

The vessel purchase / sales process is very complicated, with many important considerations including classification and flag state issues, escrow, technical and operational reviews, contracts & addenda and myriad other details to manage. Keeping all parties on the same path is not easy and it takes clear and honest communications, credibility and a steady and knowledgeable hand to bring a transaction to a happy completion. Whether you’re looking for your next boat or looking for the best way to market your boat, you can be assured that with the Aurora team, you’re in good hands.

Daniel’s attentive, detail oriented, yet casual, consultative style will make your vessel evaluation, development and transaction process a satisfying experience. Daniel’s engineering background, extensive yacht sales and business experience, professionalism and keen market insight combine to ensure that each of our vessel projects & transactions will be a ‘Win’ for all involved. We look forward to working for you and to earning your confidence, along with your referrals. Give Daniel Voorhees a call and let’s sit down to meet and discuss options.
