Description
Rugged ice-class research vessel in ready condition
This ship was built in 1967 as a 70 m. (231’) ‘Fairweather Class’ NOAA survey research ship. She has served in recent years as a hydrographic research vessel, mapping the earth’s ocean bottoms. The vessel was decommissioned in 1995. She was then purchased in 2001 by the current owners and was completely refurbished in 2002 and fitted with the latest in electronics, machinery, and safety equipment. She has been maintained in excellent condition, in ABS class by her current commercial ownership group and is offered now as turn-key.
